Description

*********************************************************************************************************************

Due to the winter weather advisory and potential for significant snow and/or ice, which will result in difficult and potentially dangerous travel, the WSTA feels it is best to cancel the January 27th Application Development, Delivery & Modernization seminar. We truly regret having to do this, but after much consideration feel it is the best decision based on the current forecast. We regret any inconvenience and appreciate your interest in our events.

Wall Street firms have invested for decades in creating complex custom applications that presently represent their core intellectual property. Maintaining these legacy applications, adopting changes to cope with dynamic business needs and delivering the speed required to maintain differentiating edges over competition are today’s major challenges. To solve these problems, application portfolio management has emerged as a discipline, leveraging tools to wrap legacy code into reusable services, intuitive graphic user interfaces, business-driven development models, iterative development lifecycles and access to alternative operating models for managing the applications assets. As firms launch modernization projects, multiple choices seem viable, but many are sub-optimal. Success relies on making informed and prudent business decisions.
