Mr. Natis' research focuses on enterprise software infrastructure, including technologies such as application servers, cloud application platforms, application platform suites, integration and event-processing middleware, and TP monitors. He also researches the fundamental software architectures, including event-driven architecture, service-oriented architecture,.NET and Java EE.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Natis worked at Magna Software, where he was director of software architecture and the principal architect of MAGNA X, a generator of service-oriented transaction-processing applications. Mr. Natis' experience also includes IT architecture and IT management positions at Hogan Systems and Citigroup. He has 30 years of experience in enterprise IT.

Joe Ghory is currently a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Riverbed technology, where he specializes on public and private cloud infrastructure and services, virtualization, and disaster recovery. Joe joined Riverbed from Updata Partners, a top quartile growth stage venture capital firm in New York, New Jersey, and Washington DC where he led the firms sourcing and diligence efforts in the enterprise technology space. Joe was also the founder and CEO of Audacious Networks a small wireless networking company in Northern California. Jim is currently the President & Chief Executive Officer at Apparent Networks, the leading provider of Remote Performance Management solutions. Mr. Melvin assumed this role following EMC Corporation's acquisition of RSA Security and Network Intelligence in September 2006. Prior to that time, Jim served as executive vice president of marketing and business development at Network Intelligence, a leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into automated compliance and security information; as President and CEO at Mazu Networks, a provider of network-wide intrusion prevention systems; and as vice president of marketing at SightPath, a developer of appliances for creating intelligent content delivery networks.
JP Blaho – Senior Product Manager - Crossbeam
JP Blaho has more than ten years of product management experience. As the senior product manager at Crossbeam, Blaho is responsible for the planning and execution of best-of-breed security applications for Crossbeam’s Network Security Platforms, including prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure the applications support the company's overall strategy and goals. Blaho holds a degree from the Graduate School of Business Administration at Northeastern University.
Allen George Male – Vice President, International Sales – Sourcefire, Inc.
Allen Male joined Sourcefire as Vice President for International Sales for Sourcefire in June, 2002. Allen established and grew Sourcefire’s international presence though 2009, when he was nominated Vice President, Strategic Accounts, where he is now responsible for global corporate relationships and sales with Sourcefire’s strategic vendor, technology, and systems integration and service provider relationships. Allen earned a BA in Biology and a BA in English Literature from the University of Virginia in 1981.
Herb Van Hook is vice president of strategy in the Office of the CTO at BMC Software, with a particular focus on the technology impacts and opportunities presented by cloud computing models. He has worked in strategic, corporate development, and business planning functions since joining BMC in 2005. Previously, he held several executive positions at industry analyst firm META Group (now Gartner, Inc.) including executive vice president and research director, and last serving as META’s interim president and chief operating officer. He has more than 30 years of experience in information technology – across operations, development, support, and management – including positions at IBM, Computer Associates, and Legent Corporation.
