James Dow is a highly experienced technology manager with over 20 years of experience in systems design, systems management, and software development in the Financial Industry.
Focusing principally on Data Center Strategy development and empirical modeling, he has significant external customer accomplishments including, delivery of CTO services for large scale data center and Headquarters development, Global Financial Systems infrastructures, and wireless commerce systems for such Fortune 500 corporations as Bank of America, AIG, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, UBS, Fidelity Investments, and Wachovia.
His management expertise includes formulation, socialization and transition to execution for complex technology strategies. His technical expertise includes both distributed systems and zSeries Operating Systems environments, virtualization technologies, Mass Storage SAN and data replication, as well as LAN, WAN, file and print, messaging, desktop, remote access, internet access, corporate directories, voice / data telecommunications, and network security technologies.

As principal consultant, storage solutions, Tim Arland develops methodology used by Forsythe’s professional services practice to deliver strategic consulting engagements focused on information policy, information lifecycle management, tiered storage, operational backup and recovery, and data replication and archiving. His consulting knowledge-base also encompasses storage technology infrastructure, including networked storage, and business continuity and disaster recovery as related to storage.
In addition, Arland works with regional and national Forsythe storage architects assisting customers in creating strategic storage roadmaps for their mission critical environments.
Prior to joining Forsythe, Arland worked with several Fortune 500 companies in the insurance and financial industries designing and deploying enterprise storage solutions.
Ed Johns, Senior System Engineer, Trigence, Corp.
Ed has 20 years of industry experience in data center operations, systems engineering and project management. He has worked with corporations such as Microsoft, NetIQ, Softlab, Cap Gemini, Northrop and various start-up ventures such as Antepo and Trigence. Ed has worked at Trigence for close to 3 years which specializes in Application Management for the data centers and the desktop as a Senior Systems Architect. Prior to Trigence, Ed was as Senior System Engineer at NetIQ which was leader in Windows/UNIX System management solutions. Earlier positions included managing an Application Engineering team in Eastern Europe for Microsoft and running his own consulting firm in Germany. Ed has a bachelor’s degree from the St. Anslem's College in New Hampshire.
Eric Offenberg, CIPP and Business Development Manager, IBM, has established himself as a thought leader on data governance, database archiving, enterprise data management and data privacy. With more than a decade of experience across industries, Eric is a regular speaker in live Webinars, industry events, with media and analysts on behalf of IBM. He holds an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Rider University and a BA degree in communications from Rutgers University.
