WSTA Seminar

Enterprise Risk Management

October 14, 2009
8:00 AM - 10:30 AM

Description

Risk Management is a discipline guided by industry regulations, compelling events and quantitative measures. Today's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) has three parallel and interlinked execution channels. Operational Risk Management addresses intra-day risk, anti-money laundering, litigation management, referential data integrity, perimeter security and heuristic-based network monitoring. Compliance addresses industry mandates such as HIPAA, GLBA, BASEL, SOX and FFEIC. Information Technology Governance handles identity and entitlements management, policy management, client data protection, cryptography, SOA governance, BCP and DR.

Since ERM is hard to manage in silos, the financial services firms have the awareness that all these execution channels should be equally efficient, sustainable, and institutionalized across their business units. Furthermore, each channel needs to share key risk information with the others just-in-time to pro-actively manage their respective domains of control.

In this WSTA session you will learn about the point solutions as well as integrated solutions to successfully deploy and correlate the three execution channels of ERM in your company.
