The Big Data Dilemma-Enabling the Intelligent Enterprise

October 18, 2012
8:00 AM - 2:15 PM

Description

In the past, most of the data was text-based and transactional. Today’s data additionally comes from images, videos, social networking sites, sensors and business partner sites. A majority of this data can be unstructured and geographically dispersed. To make business decisions, financial service firms have to correlate events and process large volumes of data which may come from transactional records, master data, unstructured data, streaming data and business intelligence systems. The Intelligent Enterprise is enabled by maturity levels on the integrity of the data and the sophisticated ways the data is used to enable fast decision-making. Advances in storage technologies, information architectures, complex event processing engines and Cloud have made handling the data challenge easier. In this seminar, WSTA presents the latest in the data, analytics and storage management marketplace as they apply to financial service firms.
