David Passmore is Research Director for the analyst firm Burton Group, originally NetReference, Inc., which he founded. He was previously a Gartner VP running their local and wide-area networking services, and a Partner with Ernst & Young. Mr. Passmore wrote a monthly column for Business Communications Review magazine for 14 years, and was conference chairman for the Next Generation Networks (NGN) for 5 years.

Richard Whitehead is responsible for developing business and partnerships for Clarus Systems. His rich technical background includes 20 years in Broadband and Baseband communications and specialized experience with network management technologies. As Chief Technology Officer for Clarus Systems, Richard leads strategic technology innovations as well as represents the company at industry events, including keynotes and panels on Unified Communications. At Spider he established the company's Remote Diagnostic Service business unit. Richard is a former chair of the DMTF Telecommunications working group, and was a charter contributor to the TMF's NGOSS Architecture.Richard was educated at Farnborough College of Technology, and currently serves on the advisory boards of a number of technology companies, including two Bay Area start-ups.
Norm Schillaci, Principal Sales Engineer, Global Crossing
As a principal sales engineer for Global Crossing, Norm Schillaci is responsible for the conceptualization of advanced solutions that leverage Global Crossing assets in voice, data, conferencing, access, ATM, frame, managed and converged IP services . Between 2000 and 2003, he was the lead developer for Global Crossing's QoS VPN, Remote Access, Managed Services and IP Video. Before joining Global Crossing in 2000, Schillaci served as product line manager for Acterna (JDSU Test and Measurement), where he oversaw Acterna’s protocol analyzer business unit, managing well-known direct and OEM products, including FIREBERD 500/300, Netlens 3000, Spyder RMON Probes, Shomiti 100M analyzer and Network General/TTC OEM Sniffer. He also developed the industry’s first PC-based VoIP analyzer. Schillaci has more than 21 years of experience and holds 12 U.S. and international patents. He has published articles on technician automation and has held engineering and product management positions at Harris Corporation and Teleprobe Systems.
