The WSTA will host a seminar on “Delivering Secure Data” on May 14, 2014 in New York City for financial technology professionals. Speakers at this event include Keynote EY, Brite Computers, CloudPassage, Contact Solutions, Fortinet and Vaultize.

New York, New York – May 07, 2014

The special Luncheon Keynote for financial technology attendees will be “The Wolf of Wall Street: Inside the investigation” presented by Gregory A. Coleman, Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Asset Forfeiture/Money Laundering Team.

Seminar Overview
The cost of handling a data breach far outweighs the cost of proactively securing the data as long as the threats are broadly identifiable in advance. As the diversity of types of data and their physical locations increase, the threats of denial of service or stolen data multiply disproportionately. The financial services industry is becoming increasingly diligent about data threat profiling and creating variable protection schemas depending on the vulnerability assessments. This requires a teaming up exercise between the business, applications and infrastructure stakeholders.

At this WSTA seminar, you will hear about how the industry is maturing in making this less reactive and more proactive. We also expect that you will be collaborating with your peers in the industry who attend this seminar to find ways to handle a common problem using a common utilitarian approach.
