Necessary Inclusion: Increasing the Participation of Women in Tech

Agenda | Location

Workplace diversity is crucial to the growth and success of a company. According to the NCWIT Report, women in computing-related occupations has been declining since 1991, from 36% to 25% in 2015. While technical women in junior and mid-level executives have expressed strong leadership ambitions, there is a gap in the support and actual advancement of women in technology. In fact, a Harvey Nash CIO study found that only 7 percent of all CIO positions globally are held by women.

As an underrepresented group, what can women do to build their brand and advance themselves in this industry?

Please join us for an interactive session with speaker, Avis Yates Rivers, who will discuss what actionable steps women can take to cultivate their brand of leadership in the tech workforce. All participants will also receive signed copies of the book Necessary Inclusion: Embracing the Changing Faces of Technology. Drinks and appetizers will be served.

This event is by invitation only. Please click ‘Read More’ to join our mailing list and hear about future events for women in the industry.
